We’re not sure when it happened but it’s that time of year again!
The ‘Back To School’ rush has started and we’ve all forgotten what in the world to include for our children’s lunches and are desperately scrambling for lunchbox ideas!
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with some different and delicious options for your little foodie. Be warned though, you may need to make two, one you them and one for you!

Lunchbox 1
Why not try a delicious hummus, cucumber & carrot wrap? Chickpeas are packed full of fibre, protein and potassium and make for a delicious and healthy addition to your child’s lunchbox! You could even add this in as a tasty dip.
To Create:
- Make up a portion of hummus – see recipe here!
- Spread 2 tbsp of hummus over a wrap.
- Add in thinly sliced cucumber and carrot sticks.
- Roll the wrap up and slice in two.
Add in cubed cheese and apple pieces into the lunchbox, as well as some tasty yoghurt and a few sliced berries.

Lunchbox 2
How about a yummy tuna pasta salad? This is a great option to make up the night before and pop into the fridge as it is delicious cold!
To Create:
- Boil pasta according to pack instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Mix in about 1/2 tin of tuna in springwater with a little mayo with the pasta.
- Add in some sweetcorn and a little parsley.
Add in carrot sticks, orange segments and grapes to the lunchbox – don’t forget to slice them!

Lunchbox 3
Maybe a Chicken & Tzatziki wrap will take your child’s fancy this week? A great way to try something new and also a very handy way to use up leftover chicken from a Sunday roast!
To Create:
- Make up a portion of tzatziki – here’s a recipe!
- Combine 2 tbps of tzatziki with a portion of cooked chicken.
- Place into a wrap and roll up. Cut in two!
Add in apple wedges with some peanut butter and some refreshing cucumber sticks.
