“Isabelle’s first taste was the basics. I.e Baby rice, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes. She took to it like a duck to water. She is extremely easy to feed and everyone always comments on this saying “there is great comfort in her” unlike her older brother! “
“I am a 30 year old Galway girl and I have 2 beautiful kids. Joshua 6 and Isabelle 14 months. Before I had Joshua I used to mind kids. I have always been around kids so I thought I would have it all figured out and know exactly what to do when I had my own. Minding kids and having your own are not the same thing! When I had Joshua I did find it hard to adjust especially the lack of sleep but it all fell into place over time. When I had Isabelle I found it was a totally different experience. As I knew exactly what to do like I wasn’t afraid to hold her. The only thing I will never get used to is the lack of sleep but then again does anyone?!“
“The only things refused since Isabelle has started eating is turnip and plain mashed potato!”
“When Isabelle is visiting friends or family or when I’ve run out of my own batch cooking. Pipin Pear dinners are so handy to have as I find it hard to keep Isabelle fed so its great to have a ready meal there waiting. She would eat 2 dinners a day (1for lunch and a smaller portion in the evening for dinner) plus everthing in between! Freggie-bites come everywhere with us! Even if its only a trip to the shop around the corner! Also a Baby Beef Ragu is known to come with us if we go out for the day! “
“At the moment the only funny thing is how fast she eats peas and blueberries. She doesn’t look up until they are gone! Literally they go in 1 after the other as if she has never been fed!!“
“I have to admit I don’t love to cook. ( I can cook but if I can avoid it I will!!) But the foods I batch cook the most are chicken and veg gratin, chicken curry and spag bol. (All from the Neven Maguire weaning book I used)”
