“We decided to do Baby Led Weaning with Evie. This involves skipping the first stage and starting straight on finger foods. It can be a little daunting at first. We definitely did a lot of research and made sure we knew the difference between gagging (completely normal) and choking – that would be my biggest piece of advice before you start weaning. She started weaning at 6 months old, as soon as she was showing interest and sitting up independently. She took to it like a duck to water! Her first foods were steamed vegetables and she soon moved on to enjoying a Sunday Roast! We never had to make her separate dishes or spoon feed her. Feeding herself also really improved her fine motor skills and within weeks she was clearing her plate, completely independently. We really enjoyed our weaning journey – it was such an exciting time! Evie loves the Cheesy Chicken Pasta dish! This girl has a weakness for cheese and pasta – just like her mama!“
“Evie was very much a longed for baby. Since her arrival in September 2020, she has brought so much laughter and joy to not only her daddy and I, but also to our wider family. She has such a flamboyant personality and truly knows how to demand the attention of a whole room with her cheeky laugh and wild antics! Evie introduced me to motherhood and all of the challenges that it entails of. Through the ups, downs and many sleepless nights, I wouldn’t change any of it for the world! “
“Evie goes through stages of liking and disliking things all the time. Currently, her least favourite food is probably bread. (Random, I know!) “
“We have a very busy life with creche, work and everything inbetween so our Pipin Pear dishes are lifesavers! We take our Freggie Bites everywhere we go – always a good idea to have snacks ready!“
“Only recently, we were enjoying a lovely Sunday Roast at Evie’s grandparent’s house. This is usually her favourite meal of the week and she devours it! We thought this day was no different, her plate was clearing and she was happy. We then noticed our dog, Clover, was lingering around – Evie was feeding him every bit of food off her plate, right down to the yorkshire puddings! He certainly had a good feed that day. “
“I love cooking any pasta dish for Evie, whether it’s lasagne or a creamy chicken dish. I just know that Evie will eat every bit of it and goes to bed with a full tummy! “
