“Conor took to weaning very easily after about six months, he was showing a keen interest in what we had on our plates and was reaching for everything. He had puréed banana and strawberries and baby porridge. He loved everything as his ability for food evolved he was clearly showing signs of a varied palate. He loved veggies and fruit, he loved sweet and sour. He took a few tries to like earthy flavours but he rarely ever refused anything. I am a very lucky mum.”
“Since becoming a mum to a very adventurous little boy I have learned to enjoy the moment and embrace mess. Conor has taught me to be more relaxed and less worried about the what if’s in life, because he is such a funny, loving and vibrant little boy. He loves getting hands on and exploring his food and this has made me deep dive into making sure that he only eats the best of ingredients which in turn has made us a much healthier family. I think having a boy inspires you to get creative too, as he is always trying to escape to areas of the house that are out of bounds, so keeping him occupied with new fun games is interesting.”
“There have been many occasions where Conor has reached and caught the spoon or the bowl and covered both of us in a veggie purée of some sort. A very important rule, a bowl of dinner is never to be a hat. ”
“Conor seems to resist peas!”
“We have brought the pots with us on our most recent mini holiday to Wexford. They are such a help to know you can still feed your baby nutritious meals made with care even when you are on holiday and may not have access to cooking facilities. “
“Veggie pasta for all the family, with seasonal vegetables and either a tomato based sauce or a basil pesto. “
