Packing for the birth of your little one can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, especially for first time mums. What do I need? How many nappies should I bring? What do the hospital provide?? Is this too much or not enough?!!?!?
We’ve put together a full list of everything you could possibly need to pack for your trip to the hospital.
Think we’ve missed a staple? Let us know over on Facebook!
TOP TIP!
Section off your hospital bag into labour, recovery, baby and going home. A labelled Ziploc bag with ‘Baby’s First Outfit’ with babygro, hat, nappy etc will be a massive help! In case you’re busy or cannot get out of the bed, you can simply ask your birth partner to grab the labelled bag, super simple!
Another Ziploc labelled bag with ‘Bits for labour’ or ‘After labour’ will also be a massive help. You’ll have a lot on your mind and may not be able to get your bits yourself. This way it stops the dreaded ‘Root & Dump’ of your birth partner or a nurse ‘rooting’ through your bag and throwing your carefully organised contents all over the shop, making it impossible to find anything!

The different sizes are in case baby is way smaller or way bigger than anticipated. It happens. All. The. Time.
