My kids absolutely love this dip and I’m happy to serve it as I know it’s prepared with natural ingredients making it the perfect snack between meals.
This recipe can be changed to include any ingredients that you may have in your fridge such as; chicken, ham, spring onions, a spoon of chutney…anything that you have to hand to make a tasty and wholesome dip.
I use wholegrain wraps instead of tortilla crisps, which of course are high in salt. When toasted, wholegrain wraps offer the same crunch that we all love so much when loaded with a yummy side!
Avocados are incredibly versatile and are a great source of essential fats, vitamin c and fibre, to name just a few! The only thing about Avocados that we do not like is the ripe Vs not ripe coin toss that we all find ourselves in when shopping!!!
So, here is a little tip to finding the perfectly ripe avocado: when placed in the palm of your hand, gently squeeze without applying pressure with fingertips (this will cause bruising) if the avocado yields with this gentle pressure then you know it’s ripe, hopefully!!
Chop up your ingredients:
1 avocado
2 large tomatoes
200g turkey breast
100g cheddar cheese
2 tblsp cream cheese
2 wholegrain wraps
Simply add to a food processor and blend to a thick and chunky consistency.
Cut the wraps into large bite size squares, drizzle a little oil onto a baking sheet and toss the wraps on top. Place in a heated oven for approx 3-4 mins or until crisp and golden brown.
Serve your yummy dip alongside the toasted wholegrain wraps
As I said, Luca and Tilda absolutely love munching on these, this is also a great addition to any gathering and is much more substantial and tasty than your usual salsa or cream cheese dip.
Hope you enjoy!
