Meet The Ambassador – Rosie
Meet Rosie. Rosie is one of our Pip & Pear Little Ambassadors who will be sharing her weaning adventure with us. We can’t wait to hear all about Rosie’s favourite flavours and dishes and she grows through the various weaning stages.
Her wonderful Mum, Sinead has answered a little list of questions – read below to learn all about Rosie’s weaning journey and the general goings on of a little six month old!
Tell us a little about Rosie.
Hi everyone this is Rosie, She was born on the 2nd of March 2017. She weighed 9lbs 1oz and made lots of hearts full the moment she arrived!! She lives in Kildare with her Mammy and Daddy, three dogs and her cat Henry!! She is rolling over and sitting up now and definitely making moves to try catch Henry the cat!!!!
What is Rosie’s favourite thing to do at the moment?
Her favourite things to do these days are going for long walks with her doggies seeing the animals in the fields around us and playing outside in her swing she really loves the fresh air!!! Having big huge baths and going swimming we have a total little water baby we are starting lessons in September!!
Our Best Buy so far that she adores is her Jumperoo she happily plays away in it and loves all of the colours she also loves any toy that makes a LOT of noise she is crazy about books especially the that’s not my series loves all the different textures and the bright pictures in them!! Lastly she is loving ‘Charlie and Lola’ guilty mama admission
(no pics for evidence of that one)
How is Rosie’s weaning journey going?
Rosie’s weaning journey so far has been amazing!!!
It’s been brilliant to see how much she really enjoys her food, total little grubber!!!! Her favourite mealtime of the day is probably her lunch and at the moment she adores Banana French toast for it!! Since we started weaning I was determined she would try a huge variety of foods, think because I was such a bad eater as a kid!! She has tried everything from apples to mangoes and plain spuds to courgettes, the biggest surprise for me was how much she loved SPINACH she absolutely scoffs it am amazed every time!!!!
She is also a massive fan of the Pip & Pear Sweet Pepper Pot always an empty bowl after that meal!!! We have been adding Pip & Pear Banana Blue to our porridge some mornings and she really loves that too!!!
What is your favourite meal/ingredients to prepare for Rosie?
Because Rosie is still at the early stages of weaning I generally try mix and match a couple of cubes of veg/fruit in different combos every day!! So far she has loved most meals though celery hasn’t made the cut, can’t say I blame her, and unfortunately brought with it some very undesirable after affects which myself and her Daddy don’t really want a repeat of!!!!!!
I am heading back to work on Monday and am so delighted with the Pip&Pear range. The pots are so handy, that whilst I do want to keep up doing some cooking for her, the range takes so much pressure off knowing she will have a good healthy nutritious guilt free meal if I don’t get the time some weekends to top up the batch cooking on the freezer!!! One less thing to feel bad about
We are really excited to start moving her on along her journey can’t wait to see how she enjoys bigger variety of dishes when we can start introducing them. In Lidl the other day we started stocking up on Lovely Lentils and Fishy Dishy by Pip&Pear the Fishy Dishy is definitely going to be a regular in the house because I really hate fish and want her to enjoy it!!!! (That will be a Dada Dinner Night )
That’s it from Rosie! We love hearing all about her weaning journey and can’t wait to hear more about her favourite flavours and dishes as she grows older.
If you have any weaning advice, tips or tricks that you would like to share then please get in touch!
