Entertaining the little ones during their Easter holiday can sometimes be a daunting task. But fear not! We’ve found Easter Egg hunts and family fun days around Ireland over the Easter mid term that you have a family day out to!
Rumleys Open Farm
Easter Sunday and Monday at 2.30pm
Moher Hill Farm
Take part in the Easter Egg Hunt, where the Easter Bunny ensures that each child is looked after, there are also fun and games for all the family, including face painting, egg and spoon races and the most popular three legged races. Pose for a photograph with the Easter Bunny or for the tiny tots take part in the ‘Under 5’s Easter Egg Hunt’. Easter at Moher Hill Farm is a treat for families and is a day not to be missed.

This year Huntington Castle will have their annual treasure hunt around the garden – each child will be given a basket and a set of clues… they then have to find the golden nuggets and win a chocolate surprise at the end! There will also be an opportunity to meet some of their new little lambs and enjoy the adventure playground.

Stonehall Wildlife Park
Meet the Easter Bunny at Stonehall on Easter Sunday and trade little chicks for Easter Eggs. The Easter Bunny will be here from 1-3pm to meet all the boys & girls.

Returning from Thursday 18th to Monday 22nd April, the fantastic ‘eggs’perience will include an access-all-areas guided stadium tour, combined with an Easter Egg Hunt, all rounded off with a visit of the GAA Museum!
Your little ones will ‘spring’ into action as they follow clues around Croke Park, Europe’s third largest stadium, to find hidden tokens. They will have to keep their eyes peeled and listen closely to the guide’s fascinating stories of Croke Park and the GAA if they want to complete the hunt successfully and earn their reward of a delicious Cadbury’s Easter egg at the end.
During the tour you will also be treated to behind-the-scenes access to the team dressing rooms, warm-up area and the media centre for a bird’s eye view of the stadium. You will also get to run out pitch side through the players’ tunnel and take a seat in the VIP area!

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt – Merrion Square

To burn off lots of energy , there’s the “funky forest” indoor play centre with giant slide and ball pools, air hockey, fussball, cable run and pirate ship. There’s also a crazy golf course, large quality outdoor playground with new updated play features and the hugely popular train trip through the award winning Peatland Biodiversity Trail.

Castlecomer discovery park
The ever popular Easter Woodland Hunt is back again, their Easter themed woodland trail takes families around our 80 acres of woodlands and lakes, bringing you through the magical elf and fairy village as you hunt for clues. Suitable for children up to 10, this is the perfect way to get a day of fresh air and screen free fun. Of course there is a reward for all your hard detective work, once you have gathered all the clues make your way back to the visitor centre to collect your goodies. The trail is available every day for the Easter holidays and is €10 per family.

Mayo’s finest annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Easter Sunday from 11am to 6pm. You’ll look high and low for clues to enter to win some great prizes while enjoying the gorgeous grounds of Westport House & stunning Grounds.
The legendary Pinkie Rabbit will come back to help us celebrate the holiday and the first 300 children to complete the hunt will receive a FREE easter egg and enter to win some great prizes. There will be games and tasks that will need doing to show Easter Bunny and his team that you’ve travelled the trail properly. At that stage Easter Bunny and friends will have a particular chocolate treat to give to each child participating. Mount Congreve are delighted to announce the extension of their traditional Easter Sunday Egg Trail to Easter Saturday (20th April) and Bank Holiday Monday (22nd April) this year. Families may now come and complete the Easter Egg Trail on the day before or after Easter Sunday. Their annual Easter Sunday Egg Trail & Fun Day with bouncy castle, face painting and costumed characters’ will take place on Sunday 21st April.

Avondale Camogie Club – Rathdrum
For the Easter School holidays Greenan Maze have, free treasure hunts for kids every day, nature trails for kids every day, Fairy Tree walk especially for toddlers and the wee folk and feeding the animals every day during Easter school holidays from 2pm everyday. Weather dependent.
From April 20th to April 22nd, the Easter Bunny hops madly in the maze with super Maze Egg Hunts from 11am to 5pm on those three days.
Easter Bunny and the Cheeky Chicks will be hopping about the mazes entertaining all the kids, and helping to find eggs for the well behaved. If you are lucky they will help you solve the clues and get to the middle of the maze where you might find the Easter Bunny, and claim your chocolate reward. Find the special golden eggs and claim a big Easter Egg prize.
Face Painting from 12pm to 5pm…..two face painters will be available to entertain the tots in the craft shop and/or tea rooms.
