Pipin Pear win Gold , Silver and Bronze at the 2020 Blas na hEireann National Irish Food Awards
We are so excited to announce our amazing win at this year’s Blas na hEireann National Irish Food Awards. This is our seventh consecutive year winning at Blas and we’re thrilled to have scooped Gold for our ‘Superstar Pasta’ in the Pipin Pear range. Our Mamia range that we make exclusively for Aldi Ireland also saw amazing results, with our Mamia ‘Caribbean Chicken’ winning Silver and Bronze for our Mamia ‘Pasta Bolognese.
Irene is delighted with the amazing win “We are thrilled to be able to showcase to Irish parents and beyond the true testament of the quality of both our Pipin Pear range and our Mamia range. We use only the best of organic fruit & veg and Bord Bia meat, meaning you know that you are feeding your child as good as homemade, for the days where you just want a break!”
The Blas na hEireann awards celebrate the best of Irish food and drink and with 140 food and drink categories it is no wonder this is the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland. The 2020 competition saw 2500 entries hoping to win gold, silver or bronze at the ceremony in Dingle. Fellow Waterford companies Mid East Mezze, Blackwater Distillery, Legacy Irish Cider, Mrs Beatha Bakery and Irish Gourmet Butter also picked up awards for their fantastic produce.
We feel we have truly proved our superb quality and taste as we faced tough competition from other brands in the category. “We are so incredibly proud of our range and winning this award is very special to us. We have grown a lot since our first Blas na hEireann awards ceremony in 2014, our range is now available in the dairy fridge of all leading supermarkets across Ireland!”
Thank you so much again for everyone’s wonderful messages of congratulations, each one put a great big smile on our faces!
