Woohoo!! It’s another big win for Pip & Pear Chilled Baby Food!

October has proven to be an incredibly exciting month, first our Gold win at the Blas na hEireann Awards and now we have held our title as Best Baby Food at the Boots Maternity and Infant Awards 2016.

The Boots Maternity & Infant Awards celebrate the best products, stores and brands in the industry.  The awards are based on public vote as well as expert testing from both leaders in the industry and also real families who over the summer months trialed and tested hundreds of products around the country.

Pip & Pear also won bronze for ‘Best Family Brand’ which is something we are incredibly proud of. Pip & Pear is just one and a half years old and to be featured next to huge family brands such as Avonmore, Aldi’s Mamia brand and Johnson & Johnson really motivates us to keep going & growing!

The awards are very special as they also celebrate the unsung heroes of Ireland who go that extra mile to support their families. From Best Grandparent to Best Childcare Worker, these awards acknowledge the wonderful, selfless people who go above and beyond for their family, their stories are amazing and truly inspiring. Other exciting news on the day included our very own No.9 Café winning the Best Family Friendly Restaurant Award. No.9 was set up by my husband Bill, my sister-in-law, Lisa and I. The busy restaurant located in Waterford’s City Centre offers a wholesome baby and kids menu and also has a dedicated play area, allowing Mum and Dad to really enjoy their tasty lunch. This is where Pip & Pear was born and so to collect awards for both businesses is incredibly rewarding!!

The awards were held in the fabulous Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire and were hosted by the brilliant Brian Ordmond and Maura Derrane. We were thrilled to be sitting alongside many of Ireland’s top parenting bloggers and a huge congrats to Kellie from My Little Bábóg for winning the Best Parenting Blog award! Kellie brought her adorable baby girl, Kenzie along and everyone was thrilled to enjoy a snuggle from the little cutie : )

We’re already looking forward to next year’s awards and cannot wait to find out what the next 12 months will bring!
