We are delighted to announce the launch of our new organic range into 62 Colruyt stores in Belgium!
Pipin Pear launched in the summer of 2015 when Waterford founder and owner Irene Queally returned to work after her second child, “When I had my second child I noticed a gap in the market for chilled, nutritious and tasty baby food, which offered time-pressed parents a guilt-free alternative to home cooking, as opposed to the long-shelf-life products that were the only other choice in the market. These pouches and jars of food didn’t look or taste anything like the baby food I was cooking at home so I decided to change that and create something more suitable for parents and children across Ireland and Europe.”
As a mum, Irene was conscious to keep the homemade, nutritious elements to her recipes and refused to compromise on this when developing the Pipin Pear brand. In order to deliver this guilt-free delicious alternative Irene set out to only use the highest quality ingredients. Pipin Pear is committed to manufacturing sustainably and therefore use pots which are fully recyclable and BPA free.
Pipin Pear uses 100% organic ingredients and contain no added salt, sugar or additives. A healthy and delicious alternative to home cooking that doesn’t compromise on taste or nutrients, Pipin Pear offer time pressed parents yummy dishes to choose from. With a short-chilled shelf life, meals also offer up to three of your child’s five a day fruit and veg portions.
Pipin Pear has been created to cater for children aged six months to three years. With the range split into three stages that are age appropriate, the textures of each stage also help with the development of a normal palate, fine motor skills, aiding speech and language development.
This brand new range received further validation to its superior quality when Pipin Pear entered a selection of the new recipes into this year’s Blas na hEireann National Irish Food Awards. Pipin Pear swept the board, winning Gold, Silver and Bronze for their Banana Blue, Creamy Chicken Pea & Pasta and Superstar Pasta respectively. It shows that Pipin Pear have stayed true to their roots by producing guilt free, convenient meals for the everyday family.
With their newly designed packaging now in a ‘bowl’ format, Pipin Pear is now even more convenient, aiming to reduce kitchen stress for health-conscious parents frantically batch cooking for their babies and toddlers in the evenings and weekends. The new bowl design makes preparing each dish easier when it comes to stirring while heating, but it also allows for easier use with the new shape allowing little ones and parents to feed directly from the bowl, with no need to decant into a separate dish.
You can find Pipin Pear in the fresh aisle of 62 Colruyt stores. To see the full list, check out our WHERE TO BUY map.
