Christmas time with your newest family member is a whole new experience especially if you are a parent for the first time. Your little one may not be old enough to remember the day, but Mama and Dada will never forget! This day will be filled with joy and excitement, but it can bring out a great deal of stress as well.

Include Them!
If your baby is weaning and eating solids, try to include them! There are lots of foods for your little one to try and Christmas is the perfect time to try them. So pull up their highchair to the table and let them join in. Just remember to puree or mash any food depending on your baby’s age!
Be Flexible
If you are a parent for the first time be realistic with your expectations for the day and keep things simple! Your first Christmas Day may not look like your previous ones as new-borns are notoriously unpredictable. Feeding, naps, playtime; this year it’s all about them! So, you’ll need to remain flexible throughout the day and watch them for signs they’re getting tired, hungry or cranky.
Dress Them Comfortably
Christmas Day is a long day for you and them and there’s no way you’ll let the day go past without taking photos! Dressing your little in the cutest ‘my 1st Christmas’ clothing is always great for those millions of photos you’ll take, but depending on the item of clothing, it might not be the comfiest choice for the marathon that is Christmas Day. Choose a backup outfit like a comfy Babygro to change your little one into as the day goes on.
Give Yourself A Break
Your little one is probably too little to remember this Christmas. This Christmas it’s more important to spend quality family time together and make memories. Enjoy the day, no matter what! So, give yourself a break! Whether you have a picture-perfect Christmas, or someone has a meltdown, just remind yourself you are doing great!
